North Shore Japanese School was founded (5th of Feb, 2011) by two passionate parent/teacher volunteers who hoped to provide a quality learning opportunity of Japanese language and culture for children living in Sydney. This school is one of the community languages schools guided and funded by the Community Languages Schools Programs (CLSP) of the NSW Department of Education. The school aims to ensure that every child is able to maintain and improve their language and understanding of Japanese culture, here in Sydney.
We understand that they are likely to have difficulties in the maintenance and improvement of Japanese language proficiency and understanding of Japanese culture, due to the reality that our students live outside of Japan. To overcome this, the school aims to provide the best possible teaching that suit each student’s needs, interest and capability of learning. We also ensure to provide our students with an enjoyable learning environment tailored along our school curriculum.
